Teachers College
Moso Mission for Christ Teachers College (MMCTC) is a fully online, 12-course certificate program that equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for Gospel-centered children’s ministry. It awards a Certificate of Completion and potential credits towards a Bachelor or Master of Theology through our partner school, Covenant Mission Seminary.

What does it mean to be a disciple of Christ? What is God’s greatest concern? What is the difference between the Gospel and religion? Why is evangelism so hard? What is the basic Gospel message that all children and adults must hear? This course will be the foundation to becoming a Gospel-centered teacher who can raise disciples of Christ.

What are the essentials in children’s ministry? Who can be a teacher of Gospel education? What skills and tools must we have in order to have a powerful, effective, and dynamic ministry for children? This course will train you to lead children’s worship in a developmentally appropriate and Christ-centered way.

This course will introduce you to the Year 1 of the two-year MMC Gospel Curriculum, which follows a Covenant-centered theme. We will learn the significance of thematic Bible lessons and how to reinforce the Word delivered in children’s worship through different activities.

How can we effectively and consistently discipline young children to love God with all their hearts? This course will teach you the fundamentals of biblical discipline and emotional training so you can be the Christ-centered model of faith and love.

What are indicators that a child is suffering from mental health problems? What are ways teachers can help identify and treat these issues with the Gospel? This course will introduce you to some of the most common mental and emotional problems so you can be better equipped to bring true healing in Christ.

What are effective ways to manage your own emotions as parents and teachers while disciplining children? Is it possible to teach very young children how to regulate their own emotions? What are the 7 principles of Conscious Discipline by Dr. Becky Bailey? How can we create a classroom family and prevent bullying? This course will introduce you to Conscious Discipline, which utilizes everyday events to cultivate emotional intelligence through a self-regulation program that integrates social-emotional learning and discipline.

What does it take to teach like a champion? Do we need to manipulate, threaten, or bribe our children to pay attention to our lessons in class? Is there a better way to teach children so they understand the lesson, stay motivated and engaged, and are capable of reaching higher academic standards? Champion Techniques 101 will help you learn the practical and effective methods of teaching that will make your students excited to enter your classroom every day.

How can we counsel young children and teens in distress and confusion? What are biblical and professional ways we can lead a child to Christ and have a deeper faith in His Word? This course will train you in basic counseling skills to help you understand, communicate with, and teach young children.

What does Gospel-centered teaching look like? Who can be a Gospel-centered teacher? MMC teachers share their stories of their experiences in a Gospel-centered school with Mrs. Kim and offer valuable insight into what it takes to create the MMC classroom and school culture.

This is a unique course by Deborah P. Kim and Mary Grace Ha, two highly specialized professionals in children's ministry. Discussions will cover topics about Sunday School ministry, evangelism outreach for children, dating and marriage, parenthood, and more!

This is the culminating experience for our MMC Teachers College Certificate Program. In this course, students will apply all the knowledge they gained from previous courses to create messages and materials for children's ministry. The capstone project will be a video presentation of the student leading worship for young children.

When taking one course per term (six weeks), it will take about three years to complete the program.
Students may choose to take multiple courses per term, which will shorten the length of the program.

As this is a fully remote program, students will need an online streaming device (i.e., computer, tablet, smartphone) and reliable internet connection.

Students who successfully complete all twelve courses with passing grades will receive their MMC Teachers College Certificate. This will give them access to MMC's Gospel Curriculum (two-year worship materials) and allow for further consultation/support in their ministry.
In addition, MMCTC students who desire a Bachelor or Master of Theology degree may receive credit through the completion of their coursework through Covenant Mission Seminary, our partner school.
